Unfortunately, Nitin Sawhney (UK) will no longer be able to perform at WOMADelaide due to a medical emergency. He is deeply saddened not to be able to travel at this time, but hopes to be back in the future. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Replacing Nitin on Monday 11 March will be five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo (Benin), and on Friday 8 March psychedelic jazz-fusion four-piece Mildlife (Aus) will join us.

Adding to her already scheduled appearance for Adelaide Festival on Tuesday 12 March, WOMADelaide favourite Kidjo returns after five years, celebrating her 40-year career and sharing music from her remarkable new album Mother Nature alongside songs from her career-spanning catalogue as one of Africa’s best-known artists.

Emerging onto the Melbourne/Naarm music scene with their debut LP Phase in 2017, Mildlife has quickly become one of Australia's most celebrated groups, with their flowing blend of jazz guitars, electronic synthesisers and cosmic sounds.
