News The full 2008 lineup has been announced early, so there's plenty of time to start investigating some new names & making plans for March. Billy Cobham returns after a triumphant solo performance in 2007 and having led the all-star jam. This time he will perform with his Septet. Other artists making return performances are Terem Quartet from Russia and the remarkable Indian flautist Dr N. Ramani. Two household names of the world music stage making their WOMADelaide debuts are Cape Verde diva Cesaria Evora and the Romanian gypsy band Taraf de Haidouks. Add to that vintage funk/R'nB artist Sharon Jones, France's Titi Robin, gospel/soul legend Mavis Staples, Malian kora virtuoso Toumani Diabate and many more. More titles will be added to the store as stock arrives. |
