Greg Roach is a professor in the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences at CQUniversity, and he is the head of the Sleep and Circadian Rhythms Laboratory at CQUniversity’s Appleton Institute for Behavioural Science. Greg conducts research in the sleep laboratory; in road, rail and plane simulators; and in workplaces that employ shiftworkers. His research is focussed on understanding the short-term and long-term consequences of poor sleep and circadian disruption, developing strategies to optimise the amount and quality of sleep obtained, and implementing countermeasures to minimise the impact of sleep loss when it cannot be avoided.
