Speaker | Being Seen and Heard: The power and passion in the student climate strike movement
Milou is a 15 year old student from Castlemaine who loves circus and hip hop. Inspired by Greta Thunberg, she joined forces with friends. Harriet O’Shea Carre and Callum Neilson-Bridgefoot (the Castlemaine three), to start the Australian Student Strike for Climate movement from their regional Victorian town of Castlemaine by staging a small protest with a couple of dozen classmates outside their federal MP’s office in Bendigo. Following this they organised the global SS4C on November 30 in Melbourne creating a powerful platform for thousands of students across the nation to follow their lead.
