Pt Tejendra Narayan Majumdar & Ambi Subramaniam
India
One of the most celebrated sarod players of his time, Pt Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, will take to the stage with Ambi Subramaniam, the ‘new king of Indian violin’ (Times of India). Tejendra’s music comes from a place of intellectual density and technical virtuosity, but he carries audiences with him on his musical journey. Ambi is a violinist, composer and educator who has been performing since the age of seven. They will perform with percussionists Tanmoy Bose, who has accompanied the likes of Ravi Shankar, and V V Ramana Murthy, who has performed with some of India’s most esteemed classical musicians and jazz groups for four decades.
A Spirit of India project presented by arrangement with Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival.
