With over 40 years’ experience as a DJ, Greg Wilson was the first ‘dance music specialist’ hired for weekly sessions at Manchester’s infamous Hacienda Club. He was a pioneer in breaking the post-disco/punk sounds coming out of the US into the UK, calling it ‘electro-funk’. Wilson’s work as a producer, remixer and re-edit genius is legendary, as is his use of reel-to-reel tape machines during his brilliant live sets.
