Soulful multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, Rob Edwards combines the moving melodies of jazz, blues and RnB with the powerful art of storytelling to create his original sound. Influenced by new wave soul makers Hiatus Kaiyote, Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch, his impeccable vocals tell stories of the impact of the Stolen Generations on his family, blending potent messages with head-bopping grooves and tonal explorations that take audiences on a sonic journey. He has supported artists such as Ash Grunwald, Budjerah, Jack Botts, Barkaa, Hot Potato Band and WILSN, and has shared stages with the likes of King Stingray, Vika & Linda, and Christine Anu, and performed at Harvest Rock 2022. Based in Victor Harbor, SA, his most recent single Apmere is a jazz-infused tale from the heart, a rhythmically driven song tackling the complex subject of pain and healing in First Nations people.
