An Arrernte man from Mparntwe/Alice Springs, Bousta is a hip hop artist who channels his story and emotions through his music. Currently living and studying in Adelaide, Bousta shares how music and culture help him overcome the struggles he faces as an Indigenous person. He writes his thought-provoking lyrics in English and Arrernte, using traditional language as a tool to inspire Indigenous kids to chase their dreams. Influenced by classic hip hop artists including NWA, 2pac, Biggie and Method Man, his first gig was opening for Lil Mase in 2021. He has since performed at the Desert Festival and the Bush Bands Bash 2024, and opened for DEM MOB and NWA's DJ Yella and Lil Eazy-E. In May 2024 Bousta was selected to take part in the WOMADelaide x Northern Sound System Academy music development and training program.
