Physical theatre ensemble Born in a Taxi (BIAT) become The Sleep Keepers in this roving act that blends comedy, song, music, story and the gentle art of slumber. The Sleep Keepers have watched as the world has become too busy, too stressful and too frantic, and sleep has gone astray. They invite you onto their bed of dreams to tuck you in and take you for a ride into the world of bedtime stories and lullabies. Close your eyes and drift away on their bed and let The Sleep Keepers wheel you away on a journey to rest and revive even the weariest of souls. Melbourne-based BIAT mix performance with humour, the profound with the profane, and the familiar with the unlikely to produce original, physically driven and participatory works. Their performance style lives somewhere between the cracks of theatre and dance. The Sleep Keepers was co-created with fellow Melburnian artists, Kinetic Theatre.
