Few have done it as well and as long as Crazy P, an electronic outfit heavily influenced by vintage disco, soul and house music. In the late 90s in Nottingham, house heads Chris Todd (AKA Hot Toddy) and Jim Baron (AKA Ron Basejam) pick-pocketed club energy and ‘razzled it up’ with deep-disco sizzle. Quickly adding bandmates Danielle Moore, Tim Davies and Matt Klose, they cooked up dancefloor heaters, releasing seven albums and touring the world. Always innovators, they remained magnetic, nowhere more so than on Any Signs of Love, their final album with inimitable front woman and creative force Danielle Moore, who tragically died in 2024. Carrying on the band’s legacy in a different form, Chris and Jim are back behind the decks, delivering ecstatic, ebullient disco-fried sets that roll through all the hits, and then some.
