Our wonderful large-scale performance works are a source of inspiration and connection for many. They create moments of magic and pure joy that form core memories we remember for years. 

This has included the unforgettable moments from Cie Carabosse: Exodus of Forgotten Peoples (2017), Jeremy Deller's Sacrilege (2017), Architects of Air: Exxopolis (2015), The Manganiyar Seduction (2018) and Gratte Ciel's Place des Anges (2018, 2023). 

However, the economic landscape for festivals is turbulent – soaring costs and reduced funding are impacting our ability to bring the very best, most creative large scale works to Adelaide.

Our moments of magic are at risk and without them, the very essence of WOMADelaide will not exist.
