Hailing from the valleys of Thailand’s Phetchabun Mountains, Khun Narin went from playing rural ceremonies to viral fame in 2013 when a YouTube clip caught the world’s attention. After signing to LA label Innovative Leisure, they recorded two albums live in the fields of their village, and in 2026 they returned with III, their first album recorded in a professional studio. Khun Narin are as natural musicians as they come, effortlessly moving between traditional forms and global influences to create immersive, laid-back tunes. Sonically Khun Narin breaks down borders and genres, spotlighting the electrified phin (traditional three-stringed lute) in soaring and transcendental tracks. But what is their aim?
