Five artists. Five voices. One mission: to amplify the women who've been waiting too long to be heard.
A groundbreaking collective of female hip-hop artists, Wild Wild Women (WWW) have taken the world by storm with recent appearances at Sziget Festival (Budapest), WOMAD in the UK, and the Sakifo Musik Festival (Réunion) – marking the first time women from India have rapped on the international stage. Born in the cyphers of Mumbai in 2020, the music and spirit of WWW serve as a direct commentary on social issues and the complex realities of being a woman in contemporary India. Artists at heart, the five-woman crew consists of B-girls, a mural artist, and an internationally recognised skater, extending their message beyond the stage.
Through hard-hitting bars, movement, visual art, and grassroots cultural interventions, WWW are rewriting who gets to hold the mic. Take a seat. These women are just getting started.
