Professor Bronwyn Gillanders is an academic champion who stimulates, promotes and leads research in marine biology and fisheries, with a commitment to STEM education and mentoring of young women scientists. She is currently the Head of School of Biological Sciences at the University of Adelaide, a member of the Environment Institute and in 2023 was elected to the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. She is globally recognised for developing innovative interdisciplinary techniques that can be applied to address critical questions related to fisheries and marine environmental challenges.
