Professor Darryl Jones is a writer, speaker, researcher and mentor. He is Professor Emeritus at Griffith University where he has worked for over 30 years. He is interested in the many ways that humans interact with nature, both conflicts and positive encounters. He was a pioneer in the emerging field of urban ecology (described in Curlews on Vulture Street, 2022) and has a long-term interest in the controversial pastime of feeding wild birds (The Birds at My Table, 2018 and Feeding the Birds at Your Table, 2019. In addition, he has written over 200 scientific articles and regularly appears in the media.
